British PM leaves Riyadh after official visit for better ties

 

 

RIYADH,British Prime Minister Theresa May left Riyadh on Thursday after a visit to Saudi Arabia for better bilateral ties, Saudi Press Agency reported. 
Meeting with Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, May reviewed bilateral relations and means of enhancing them, in addition to developments in the region. 
They also discussed Syrian crisis, the war in Yemen, and the peace initiatives in the Middle East. 
The prime minister arrived here after a surprise visit to Iraq as part of Middle Easttour, as she met Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, in which she applauded the progress made in fighting Islamic State (IS) militant group. 
Saudi Arabia is British largest trade partners in the region, as both countries havesigned arms deals since March 2015 worth billions of U.S. dollars. Enditem
