Country records 3, 125 new COVID-19 cases

KATHMANDU, Aug 2: Coronavirus was detected among 3, 125 more individuals across the country on Monday. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the new number of coronavirus cases was detected in the course of conducting 13,811 RT-PCR and Antigen tests. 

Similarly, 1,925 people have recovered from the virus in the same period.  A total of 658, 122 people have recovered from the COVID-19 so far and the recovery rate is 94.1 per cent. 

Likewise, 23 people succumbed to coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours taking the death toll to 9,898 so far, according to the Ministry. 

A total of 690 people are undergoing treatment at ICU while 175 are on ventilator support in different hospitals across the country.
