Civil society activists arrested as they demonstrate against ‘political interference’ in Medical Education Commission (Photo Feature)
KATHMANDU, June 11: Civic society activists staged a protest in Baluwatar on Friday against the ‘political interference’ in the Medical Education Commission.
The protest was staged demanding an end to political interference in the Medical Education Commission. The activists protested saying that the government is preparing to give affiliation to B and C Medical College in Jhapa by violating the law.
As many as eight demonstrators including journalist Naryaan Wagle, litterateur Sanjiv Upreti were arrested and taken to the Bhrikuti Mandap-based Nepal Police Club.
