Nepal extends suspension of int’l flights until May 31

KATHMANDU, May 12: Nepal has extended the ongoing suspension of international flights, which was due to expire on May 14, until May end. 

The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), issuing a statement on Tuesday, shared that the ongoing suspension of international flights has been extended until May 31 midnight. 

The CAAN also aksed the airlines companies not to open new booking to and from Nepal until further notice. Similarly, the airlines are required to facilitate the passengers on refunding of air tickets or extend the travel date as per their requirement. 

However, two flights a week -- between Kathmandu and New Delhi--- each by Nepal Airlines and Air India under the Air Bubble Agreement between two countries, will be operated on a regular basis.
