CPN-MC selects its candidates for twin elections
Kathmandu - CPN-Maoist Centre has chosen its candidates for the election to the House of Representatives and State Assemblies that are taking place in 32 districts on November 26 and in the remaining 45 districts on December 7 this year.
According to CPN-MC Spokesperson Pampha Bhusal, the name list of the candidates contesting the upcoming twin elections was made public after the CPN-MC and CPN-UML recently forged a political alliance in view of the elections.
Bhusal said that Sudan Kirati has been chosen as candidate to contest for a seat as federal Member of Parliament from Bhojpur district while Hem Kumar Rai for Solukhumbu.
Shyam Kumar Shrestha will be contesting from Ramechhap while Agni Prasad Sapkota from Sindhupalchowk constituency no 1. Similarly, Hit Bahadur Tamang has been chosen to vie from Nuwakot constituency no 1, Dev Prasad Gurung from Lamjung, Hari Raj Adhikari of Gorkha constituency, Narayan Kaji Shrestha of constituency no 2 of Gorkha.
Likewise, selected candidate for Rolpa district is Barsha Man Pun and Devendra Poudel for Baglung constituency no 2, Kamala Roka for Rukum (east), Janardan Sharma for Rukum (west), Gajendra Mahat for Jumla, Durga Bahadur Rawat for Kalikot.
CPN-MC has chosen GC Lama to contest from Humla and Shakti Bahadur Basnet from Jajarkot, said Spokesperson Bhusal.
The CPN-MC candidates have filed their direct nominations for 16 seats out of 37 in 32 districts for the members of the House of Representatives. Also, the party has made public the name of the 32 candidates who will be contesting the State Assembly election.
