COVID-19 vaccine to 72 per cent population: Minister Dhakal

Kathmandu - Minister for Health and Population BhanubhaktaDhakal has committed to provide COVID-19 vaccines to 72 per cent population of the country. While laying foundation stone for the construction of buildings for emergency service and communicable disease hospital here today, Minister Dhakal shared that the vaccine had not been tested for children under the age of 14 therefore it should be awaited.

He added that the vaccines would be made available soon after the WHO certifies it. Minister Dhakal also claimed that the government’s efforts to contain COVID-19 pandemics were effective and result-oriented as well. The buildings are being constructed for a 50- bed hospital for communicable disease and 50-bed hospital for trauma service. ---
