Baitadi bus accident update: four deceased identified

Kathmandu - Three of the nine deceased in a bus accident that occurred in Baitadi’s Patan municipality-8, Khodpe along the Dasharathchand Highway last night have been identified. The deceased identified include 25-year-old police personnel Rana Bahadur Chand of Dogadakedar-6, Sittad, Karan Singh Eir, 27, of Dogadakedar-6, Sittad, Kabindra Joshi of Dogadakedar rural municipality and Kirtika Karki, 15, of Bhimdutta municipality-8, Tilachaur, shared Baitadi Police Chief DSP Narayan Prasad Adhikari.

Chand and Eir died on the spot while Karki breathed his last in course of the treatment. Police said the task of recovering the stuck body was underway. Other five deceased are yet to be identified. The bodies have been kept at district hospital for post-mortem. Out of 34 injured, seven critically injured have been referred to Dhangadhi while remaining 27 are undergoing treatment at Dadeldhura Hospital.
