Four local units in Parbat go into lockdown

Kathmandu - Four local levels in the district have gone into lockdown after COVID-19 infection spread to the community level. Lockdown has been imposed in Kushma municipality and in Jaljala, Modi and Mahashila rural municipalities. The lockdown is in effect in Kushma since October 31 while Modi rural municipality is under the lockdown since Monday.

Similarly, the lockdown is in effect in Jaljala rural municipality since Tuesday night while restrictions on movement of people and vehicles except for emergency purpose have been imposed in Mahashila rural municipality. The financial, cooperatives and educational institutions have been closed here.

However, no restrictions have been imposed in Phalebas municipality, and Bihadi and Painyu rural municipalities of Parbat district. The number of people infected with coronavirus has reached 192 so far in Parbat district while 154 have recovered. Thirty eight infected are under treatment in isolation while one person has died of the infection.
