Bagmati State provides relief materials to Lidi landslide survivors

Kathmandu - Minister for Social Development from Bagmati State, Yubaraj Dulal, has handed over the relief materials to the survivors of Lidi landslide. The relief materials were provided to the Bagmati State by Hope Airlines, Hope Mean family and social worker Wangchuk Rapten Lama.

A total of 172 households were provided the food stuffs- each family got 25 kg of rice, five kg of pulse, two kg of salt, four litre of cooking oil, two kg of sugar and a packet of tee. The landslide occurred at Lidi of Jugal-3 Rural Municipality on August 14 had killed 36 persons, while three are still missing.

Similarly, a relief committee formed at Thori-4 of Parsa district had collected more than Rs 600 thousand for landslide survivors. A team come from Thori, Parsa reached Banskharka of Jugal-1 where the displaced families were staying and distributed Rs 643 thousand to the survivors on Saturday morning, according to Nepal Tamang Ghedung district coordination committee chair of Parsa, Nima Lama Pakhrin.
