NEPSE index climbs 5.04 points

Kathmandu - The NEPSE index has risen by 5.04 points to close at 1,347.44 today. The sensitive index has increased by 1.95 per cent and reached 248.18. As per the Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE), 2.568 million units of share of 186 companies were traded at Rs 994.545 million. Out of 12 sub-groups, price of shares of five sub-groups has increased while the price of shares of other seven sub-groups has fallen.

Share price of banking sub-group has increased by 4.09 points, hotel sub-group by 55.29 points, hydropower sub-group by 2.95 points, microfinance sub-group by 64.94 points and mutual investment fund sub-group by 0.12 points. The shareholders of NIC Asia Balance Fund and NIC Asia Laghubitta Company earned the most from the stock market today.

They secured 10 per cent profit each followed by 9.99 per cent by the shareholders of Nabil Balanced Fund-II and 9.97 per cent by the shareholders of Nepal Sewa Laghubitta. Similarly, the investors in the Ghodaghodi Laghubitta enjoyed 9.95 per cent profit, Gurans Laghubitta 9.90 per cent, Mahila Sahayatra Micro Finance 9.80 per cent and the Nabil Equity Fund secured 9.03 per cent profit.

Investors of some companies: Samriddhi Finance Company ( 6.67 per cent), Radhi Biddyut Company (5.03), United Finance (4.07), Mutlipurpose Finance (3.76), Bishal Bazaar Company (3.66), Himalayan Power Partner (3.62), and Saptkoshi Development Bank (3.02) traded in loss today. Gold price drops by Rs 100 per tola In the domestic market today, the price of yellow metal fell by Rs 100 per tola (11.66 grams).

According to Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, the fine gold was traded at Rs 92,200 per tola today while the price of worked (Tejabi) gold was fixed at 91,760 per tola. Similarly, the price of silver was Rs 995 per tola.
