Rescue chopper reaches Sindhupalchok landslide site

Kathmandu - A helicopter has reached at Jambu, Bahrabise of Sindhupalchok district this afternoon for rescuing the people injured in the floods and landslide incident. A team has reached there to take note of the damages caused by floods in the district.

According to Social Development Ministry at Bagmati State, Yubraj Dulal, the team reached the incident site and will facilitate the rescue of the injured persons. He further shared that critically injured persons would be airlifted to Kathmandu by helicopter.

It may be noted that two people have already died while 18 have gone missing in Jambu of Bahrabise municipality due to landslides and floods triggered by heavy rainfall. A team led by Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota travelling on a Kailash Air helicopter had returned from Dhulikhel due to adverse weather this morning.
