DCSCP reopens service from today

Kathmandu - The Department of Commerce, Supplies and Consumer Protection (DCSCP) has reopened its service from today following a halt due to lockdown. The Department has asked businesspersons and traders to send necessary documents to its official email for registration, renewal, amendment, name transfer and annulment of firms.

Customers who have gone through the due process are contacted for service, said the Department's information officer Rabindra Acharya. "We will ask customers to physically present at the office along with other necessary documents for service after screening the documents sent to the email. This online service means to ease unnecessary problems and save time of customers," he said.

According to the Department, the renewal, amendment, and annulment of private firms worth below Rs 6 million will take place on Sunday, Tuesday and Friday while the process of private firms worth over Rs 6 million would take place on Wednesday.

Similarly, registration of new firms will take place on Monday and the service related to registration, renewal, amendment, and annulment of partnership firms and registration, renewal and amendment of agencies will be available on Thursday. Other supporting service such as service from legal practitioners is not required for the service delivered by the Department.
