UML candidates elected in Kankai municipality

 

Surunga (Jhapa) - CPN-UML candidates have been elected to the post of Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Kankai municipality. 

Accordingly, Rajendra Kumar Pokharel won the post of Mayor with 8,616 votes while Manju Prasai was elected deputy mayor with 8,576 votes. Pokharel defeated Yekraj Upreti of NC, who got 6,197 votes while Prasai got better of Kabita Basnet of NC, who garnered 6,579 votes.
