Mahara-Swaraj meet in New Delhi

 

Kathmandu - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Krishna Bahadur Mahara met with Minister of External Affairs of India Sushma Swaraj in New Delhi on Monday. 

During the meeting, the two leaders noted with pleasure that Nepal-India bilateral relations were making steady progress in recent time and these friendly relations had been reinforced by exchange of visits at various levels, the Embassy of Nepal, New Delhi said. 

Both the leaders reviewed and discussed wide range of bilateral matters including development cooperation, trade and transit, cross border infrastructure, hydropower projects among others, according to a press statement issued by the Embassy. 

It is stated that India's External Affairs Minister congratulated the Government of Nepal for the successful conduct of two phases of local elections. Likewise, Swaraj hosted a dinner in honour of Mahara this evening. 

DPM Mahara is scheduled to return to Kathmandu Tuesday afternoon.
