Upendra Yadav resigned from the post of Minister

Kathmandu– Upendra Yadav has resigned as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs. Addressing Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Yadav issued a statement on Tuesday, for resigning.

A few days ago, the Samajwadi Party Nepal had decided to leave the government. The party, which has joined the government for amending the constitution, has said that it has to leave the government after that seemed unlikely.

Before the resignation of Minister Yadav, the party had assembled a meeting of itself. He attended the cabinet meeting for the first time after being transferred from the health minister to the law minister.

He had proposed an amendment of constitution. The first meeting of his proposal had a dispute with the Prime Minister and chairmen of Nepal Communist Party (CPN), KP Sharma Oli. Minister Yadav had proposed the amendment of the constitution directly to the Council of Ministers. But there was controversy after Prime Minister Oli rejected the proposal before attending the meeting.
