Election results of 224 local levels declared

Kathmandu - Final results of the second phase local level election held in Provinces 1, 5 and 7 on June 28 have been coming in. 

According to the Joint Election Operation Centre set up at the Election Commission here, the final results of the vote counting for 224 of the 334 local levels where the elections were held have been declared as of 7 am today. 

The election results for 90 local levels in Province 1, 63 local levels in Province 5 and 71 local levels in Province 7 have been received at the JEOC as of 7 am. 

The Centre said that the counting of votes is taking place without any disturbance in the remaining local levels. 

Four million 740 thousand 522 voters had exercised their voting rights in the second phase local election held after nearly two decades. The voter turnout in the second phase local election was 73.693, according to the Election Commission.
