Coronavirus infected leprosy survivors aided with financial support
MORANG, October 27: A social organization has extended financial support to the coronavirus-infected leprosy survivors. The 'Association for Idea Nepal' has provided support to 240 leprosy survivors who had also tested positive for coronavirus.
Association's Programme Coordinator Devendra Dangol shared that the Association has provided Rs 6,500 each to the leprosy survivors of Morang, Sunsari and Jhapa in Province 1 for their food arrangement and scholarship to their offspring, and Rs 25,000 each for the operation of enterprises.
The support was provided to the targeted beneficiaries reaching to their doorsteps. "We have also extended technical support in the operation of enterprises", Dangol shared. The organization has also been working to create public awareness against leprosy and distributing health materials.
