Weather Forecast: Monsoon Influence Across Nepal with Thunderstorms and Heavy Rainfall Expected

Kathmandu. Currently, the monsoon wind's influence is present across the country, according to the Weather Forecasting Division. The low-pressure line of the monsoon is located south of average in the eastern part of Nepal and around the average location in the western part.

Due to this, there is generally cloudy weather in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, and in the hilly and Himalayan regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. There is partial cloudiness in the plains of Madhesh and Sudurpaschim provinces. 

Today afternoon, the weather will be generally cloudy across the country. There is a possibility of moderate rain with thunderstorms in some places in the hilly and Himalayan regions. There is a possibility of moderate rain with thunderstorms in some places in the plains of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces, and in a few places in the plains of Madhesh province, as well as Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. 

There is a possibility of heavy rainfall in one or two places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces. There is a possibility of strong winds in some places in the plains of Madhesh province and Lumbini province. 

Tonight, most of the country will be cloudy.  There is a possibility of moderate rain with thunderstorms in a few places in the Himalayan regions. There is a possibility of moderate rain with thunderstorms in many places in the plains of Madhesh and Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, and in the plains of Sudurpaschim province, and in some places in the hilly regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. 

There is a possibility of heavy rainfall in a few places in the hilly and plains regions of Koshi province, and in one or two places in the hilly and plains regions of Madhesh province, as well as Gandaki province.
