Expelled RSP leader Dhakal calls for unity to build alternative political force

Kathmandu, November 25 — Dr. Mukul Dhakal, who was expelled from the Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has called for unity among all to build an alternative political force.

In a press release issued on Monday, Dr. Dhakal urged individuals ranging from Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah to Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City Mayor Harka Sampang to join in creating an alternative political stream.

Through the release, he also requested the leaders and activists of the RSP to support this initiative in building the new political stream.

The release stated, “For this, I would like to request my friends who are currently members of the central committee of RSP. Let’s come together in a large-scale campaign. Along with that, I invite the members of the Bibekseel Campaign, activists advocating for alternative politics, leaders of independent citizens, intellectual leaders of civil society, and members of intellectual civil society to come together and lay out a plan for the alternative political journey. I request that we move forward with discussions on this. I also urge friends such as Balen, Harka, Gopi, Sagar Ji, and others, who have emerged as hopeful young leaders as independent candidates, to unite in this campaign.”
