Young man arrested from Hetauda with gold worth Rs. 5.448 million

HETAUDA, June 14: District Police Office Makawanpur has arrested a young man with illegal gold worth Rupees 5 million 448 thousand. Based on a piece of special information, the police arrested 22-year-old Kisan Sah of Birganj along with the illegal gold at around 3 am today.

The team deployed by District Police Office Makawanpur arrested Sah with 561.30 grams of gold from Ratomate Checkpost at Hetauda-15 during a check in a passenger bus, informed the spokesperson of District Police Office Makawanpur, the Deputy Superintendent of Police Tek Bahadur Karki.

According to spokesperson Karki, Sah, who was riding in the bus numbered 2-03-001 Kha 0159, had hidden that amount of gold inside the toe of his shoes. It has been said that Sah was taken into custody and further investigation is going on.
