Physical development alone is not real development: CM Poudel

Dhading–State 3 chief minister Dormani Poudel has said real development would be possible only through social and economic transformation and not only through the development of physical infrastructure.

Chief Minister Poudel said this while inaugurating the building of the Gajuri rural municipality here today. On the occasion, he stressed on coordination among the local, state and the federal governments in the formulation and implementation of the development plans, suggesting that the local government should carry out small projects, the state government the medium-scale projectsand the federal government bog projects.

He urged the rural municipality to make and execute employment-oriented plans for the proportional development and not adopt the distributive-oriented one in the name of proportional development.

State Assembly lawmaker Khem Prasad Lohani, Bhumi Tripathi, State 3 minister for internal affairs and law Shalikram Jamkattel, among the speakers stressed on concerted efforts from all sides for achieving the government motto, 'prosperous Nepal, happy Nepali'. Gajuri rural municipality chief Rajendra Bikram Basnet presided over the programme. ---
