Party should stand for democratic system: NC vice president Nidhi

Kailali –Nepali Congress vice-president Bimalendra Nidhi has said the time has come for the Nepali Congress to again stand firm for the protection of the democratic system.

Addressing a press conference organized by Nepal Press Union Kailali in Dhangadhi today, he underscored the need for the party to steadfastly stand for the federal rule, inclusive system and the successful implementation of the constitution in the present condition.

The vice-president of the main opposition party alleged that the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) has not been able to carry out works as per the aspiration of the people although it commands majority in the federal parliament, and provincial and local levels through the three tier elections.

He also accused the government of not showing any concern for the successful implementation of the federal, inclusive and local structure and giving them full shape.

“Neither has the federal government given any rights to the provincial governments nor have the latter come forward actively to claim their rights,” he said.
