Unity within party must: Leader Shrestha

Pokhara – Nepali Congress central member and former minister Gopalman Shrestha has said the unity within the party had no alternative at all. 

During a Gandaki provincial workshop the party organized to seek suggestions on the party’s political proposal today, leader Shrestha admitted that the NC became weak as it was afflicted with various groups. 

The NC has now aimed at strengthening the party organization by cementing the internal system. 
According to him, the present government has failed to work as per people’s aspiration. Random tax and skyrocketing price of essential goods have badly affected the people, he asserted. 

Similarly, former minister Yagya Bahadur Thapa said time has come for party leaders and cadres to make the NC strongest party to ensure its majority of victory in the coming election. 

Other leaders put forth their views on the draft political document at the programme.
