PM Oli insists on development of Far-Western region

Kathmandu –Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that far-western region should be developed. 
Inaugurating the Seventh senate of the Far-Western University at the official residence of the Prime Minister at Baluwatar today, Prime Minister Oli said there would be qualitative change in the education within a year if the Far-Western University produces technical human resources. 


Also the Chancellor of the University, the Prime Minister added that two committees have been formed to carry out investigation regarding different controversies related to the University. 


Two committees under the leadership of member of the National Planning Commission, Usha Jha, and Secretary of the Finance Ministry, have been formed to investigate regarding controversies related to its constituent campuses and financial transactions respectively. 


Both the Committees have been asked to submit the reports to the Prime Minister within 15 days. The senate of the university was put off in order to organise it again after carrying out study of Committees' reports. 


Similarly, Minister for Education, Science and Technology and Pro-Chancellor of the University, Girirajmani Pokharel said that the Far-Western University should provide quality-education in province no 7 while Vice-Chancellor Bhusan Shrestha stressed the need of developing the Far-Western University as the place providing quality education.
