Provinces need to be stronger for success of federalism, Chief Minister

Pokhara – Chief Minister of Gandaki Province Prithvi Subba Gurung has opined that the provinces should be stronger for making federalism functional in the country. 

At a programme here Thursday, Chief Minister Gurung said that the provinces should be robust to sustain the federalism since it was implemented by toppling down the 250 years of old unitary form of governance. 

Saying that the federal, province and local governments have shared their rights in line with the spirit of federalism, the Chief Minister of Gandaki Province defended the recent meeting of the chief ministers and added, “It was organized to strengthen federalism”.
