Industrial Areas Ultimatum Issued for Unpaid Dues

Kathmandu. After hundreds of industries operating in various industrial areas across the country failed to pay long-standing rent and dues, 'Industrial Area Management Limited' has issued a 7-day ultimatum to pay the outstanding amount.

The Limited has issued a public notice warning that if the outstanding amount is not settled within the stipulated time, legal action will be taken to recover the amount.

According to the notice issued by the Central Office Balaju of the Limited, industries operating under agreement within the industrial area have not regularly paid the dues for the use of land, buildings, electricity, and water services provided by the office.

The Limited stated that it was compelled to issue a public notice after the outstanding amount was not paid despite repeated correspondence and reminders.

The notice mentions that the non-collection of the amount on time has created serious difficulties in the construction and maintenance of infrastructure in the industrial areas and in the services provided to the industries. The Limited has published the names of hundreds of industries along with the total outstanding amount until the end of Baisakh 2083.
