Congress Whip Rai Objects to PM's 'Encroacher' Remark

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress Whip Nishkal Rai has objected, saying the Prime Minister is trying to prove Nepal as a 'border encroacher'.

Speaking in an emergency time during the House of Representatives meeting, Whip Rai said that Nepal has not encroached on any territory of neighboring countries and Nepal can never become an 'encroacher' in the eyes of the world. 

Whip Rai accused the Prime Minister and his well-wishers of committing serious treason by creating non-existent evidence to prove that Nepal has encroached on India's land. 'The Prime Minister, who kept a map of Greater Nepal in his office when he was the mayor, what interest is he serving today by attacking our self-respect?', he questioned. Rai argued that the Prime Minister's such statement is an insult to the brave martyrs who sacrificed their lives for border defense.

Rai also expressed dissatisfaction with the Speaker for not directing the controversial statement of the Prime Minister to be removed from the parliamentary record. 'We want the Speaker's guardianship. Let there be a ruling without faltering, and the Prime Minister must stand at the rostrum, introspect his anti-national statements, and apologize,' Rai said.
