Rastriya Swatantra Party Sets Election Fees for Bagmati Province Convention

The fee for the chairman of the Bagmati Province of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has been set at Rs 21,000. The election committee of the province's first convention, which started on Tuesday, has set the fee for the chairman post election at Rs 21,000.

Similarly, the fee for the vice-chairman, general secretary, and joint general secretary of RSP Bagmati Province has been set at Rs 17,500. The fee for the member post has been set at Rs 10,000. According to the organizing committee, the election for the posts of vice-chairman, general secretary, and joint general secretary will be held in 2 phases.

The organizers stated that the election will be held in 2 phases due to the legal provision that one must first be elected as a member for the posts of vice-chairman, general secretary, and joint general secretary. Accordingly, for the posts of vice-chairman, general secretary, and joint general secretary, one can first be elected as a member by paying a fee of Rs 10,000 and then become a candidate for the posts of vice-chairman, general secretary, and joint general secretary by paying an additional fee of Rs 7,500.

Madhu Chaulagain has been appointed as the coordinator of the election committee for the election program for the convention, informed Utsav Aryal, spokesperson for the RSP Bagmati Province Committee. According to him, the election committee includes Ram Gurung, Sumitra Pandit Chhetri, Deepa Lamichhane, and Krishnama n Shakya as members.

A fee of Rs 1,500 has been collected from delegates and Rs 1,500 from observers for the convention.
