Asia Cup Qualifier: Nepal sets 222 runs target to Oman

Kathmandu –Nepal has set the target of 222 runs to Oman under the Asia Cub Qualifier 2018.
Nepal, batting first after losing the toss, made 221 runs at the loss 9 wickets in the limited 50 overs in the matched being played at the Bayeumas Oval of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Sagar Pun did excellent batting for Nepal and made 83 runs.
Similarly, Gyanendra Malla contributed 45 runs to the team while Arif Sheikh 36 and Karan KC undefeated 26.
In response, Oman has so far made 37 runs at the loss of one wicket in nine overs.
Oman, UAE, Singapore, and Hong Kong are participating in the tournament hosted by Malaysia. The top two teams will meet in the final and the winner will progress to the 2018 Asia Cup, a One Day International (ODI) match, to be hosted by the United Arab Emirates next month.
In the one day match that Nepal and Oman played five times earlier, Nepal won in three matches and Oman two.
