Health Minister Nisha Mehta and Indian Ambassador Naveen Srivastava Discuss Bilateral Cooperation

Kathmandu. Health and Population Minister Nisha Mehta and Indian Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava held a courtesy meeting at the ministry on Tuesday. 

During the meeting, there was an in-depth discussion on the historical relationship between Nepal and India, as well as the ongoing bilateral cooperation in the health sector, the ministry informed.

During the meeting, Ambassador Srivastava congratulated Minister Mehta on a successful tenure, and Minister Mehta expressed gratitude for the continuous support provided by the Indian government in Nepal's health, drinking water, and sanitation sectors. The ministry stated that there was a positive discussion between the two sides on strengthening national-level major health science institutes in Nepal and establishing specialized treatment centers.

Minister Mehta and Ambassador Srivastava also agreed to further strengthen and make Indian cooperation more effective in health infrastructure development in the coming days. Both sides expressed commitment to take the long-standing cooperation in the health sector between Nepal and India to new heights.
