Rabi Lamichhane Warns of Incompetence if Results Not Delivered in Five Years

Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane has stated that if results-oriented work that the public can feel is not done within the next five years, they will be proven incompetent and incapable.

He expressed this view while concluding a two-day training program organized for the party's parliamentarians in Lalitpur.

Chairman Lamichhane has strictly instructed the party's parliamentarians not to engage in any kind of factionalism. Hinting at discussions within the party being referred to as 'Rabi's people' or 'Balen's people,' he said such activities should be stopped immediately.

Mentioning that the country was pushed back 70 years in the past due to political forces not uniting, he clarified that there is no personal interest between Prime Minister Balen Shah and himself, but rather a collaboration for the country's future. Targeting the media outlets that expect a rift between them, he said, 'We are politically mature, you might smell something, but food is not going to be served.'

He expressed dissatisfaction that the time to demand value for contribution to the party has not yet come, and some parliamentarians meet him with personal expectations. He stated that although RSP has achieved political height easily, its foundation was laid by the struggles of the previous generation of leaders.

'We knew we would get a majority when we went to the elections; no one in the world has had such an easy struggle,' he said, adding that the next five years are for working and delivering results.

He urged all parliamentarians to be mindful that their expressions and activities could hurt the general public. He mentioned that it is everyone's responsibility to make this historical revolution successful as it has come through. In a different context, he assured that the government is working on the management of squatters and no one will be left homeless. He called upon the parliamentarians to set aside personal demands and issues and focus on the welfare of the nation and the people.
