6 Arrested in Pokhara Gang Fight Linked to Drug Trade

Pokhara. Police have arrested six people involved in a gang fight that took place at Baglung Buspark in Pokhara on the night of Baishakh 22.

After a video of the brawl went viral on social media, a team from the District Police Office Kaski and Ward Police Office Bagar began an investigation.

During the search, police took one woman and six people into custody from various places in Pokhara on Baishakh 26. Those arrested include 27-year-old Sujan Ale Magar, 23-year-old Rajesh Pariyar, who live in Bajhpatan, Pokhara-13, and 30-year-old Dilram Gurung, known as 'Dipesh', originally from Gorkha but residing in the same place. Similarly, police have also taken into custody 18-year-old Sujan Tamang, 25-year-old Rajkumar Tamang, and 20-year-old Lija Pun, who live in the Baglung Buspark area.

During the preliminary investigation by the police, it was revealed that the main reason for the brawl between the groups was drug trafficking. Police Deputy Superintendent Hari Bahadur Basnet, the information officer, informed that further investigation is underway regarding the arrested individuals in connection with the incident.
