Nepal Film Artists Association Election Sees Contested Positions

Kathmandu. The election atmosphere in the Nepal Film Artists Association has heated up. Candidacies were registered on Saturday for the association's general convention to be held on Jestha 3. Senior artist Uttam KC and actor Sabin Shrestha have registered their candidacies for the post of president. Similarly, for the post of vice-president, Uddhavprasad Bhattarai, Dilbahadur Tamang, Panah Adhikari, Pujana Pradhan, Rajendra Basnet, and Shivahari Nepal have filed candidacies. For the post of general secretary, candidacies have been filed by Rameshwar Barakoti and Sunil Katwal, while for the post of secretary, Gopal Dhakal and Prapalsha Dangol have filed candidacies. Likewise, for the post of treasurer, Tej Kumari Khatiwada, Pavitra Acharya, and Ranjana Khadka are in the competition. For the post of joint-treasurer, candidacies have been filed by Pawan KC and Sharada Nepal. A total of 28 artists have filed candidacies for the member posts. Among them are Anumati Nepali, Ashok Dhital, Indrabahadur Lama (Khambe), Koshish Chhetri (Parajuli), Gokul Subedi, Chandrakala Dahal (Monica), Chandrakala Rai (Lovely Sangam), Chhultim Dolma Gurung, Jeevan Thapa, Daman Rupakheti, Dawa Finjo Tamang, Dhanbahadur Tamang, Namrata Kharel, Namrata Yogi, Naveenkumar Shrestha, Prem Pandey (Punya Prasad), Manjudevi Tuladhar, Rashmila Bhatt (Karki), Rajendra Gosai, Laxman Chaulagain (Khinte Kak), Vinodkumar Bhattarai, Shridev Bhattarai, Sarita Rajopadhyay, Samana Sitala, Supa Khanal, Suman Sagargung KC, Suryaman Shankar (Suleman), and Harichandra Phuyal.
