Bhim Bahadur Rawal Denies Knowledge of Sudurpashchim In-charge Responsibility

Kathmandu. Nepali Communist Party (NCP) leader Dr. Bhim Bahadur Rawal has stated that he has no information about the responsibility of Sudurpashchim in-charge being given to Bhanubhakta Joshi. The recently concluded Central Coordination Committee meeting had assigned the responsibility of in-charge to Rawal and co-in-charge to Joshi and Khagraj Bhatta. 

However, Rawal, who expressed dissatisfaction with the seniority, expressed dissatisfaction that the party gave him the responsibility of in-charge without consulting him. Through social media Facebook, he had suggested to the leadership to give the responsibility of province in-charge to the youth. 

On Saturday, Inter-party directive (APANI)-3 signed by coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda and co-coordinator Madhav Kumar Nepal removed Rawal's name and made Joshi the in-charge of Sudurpashchim. Bhatta, Province Coordinator Hariram Chaudhary and Co-coordinator Lal Bahadur Khadka are in the co-in-charge. However, he told Ratopati that he would come to Kathmandu and discuss the issue of seniority. 

‘I am currently in Achham. I don’t know about the responsibility of province in-charge. Let’s discuss the issue of seniority after coming to Kathmandu,’ Rawal said. 

At the time of party unification, Rawal had asked for the sixth number seniority. But after his proposal was rejected, he did not even participate in the coordination committee meeting. Seeing the potential for a dispute regarding seniority, the coordinator Prachanda, co-coordinator Madhav, senior leaders Jhalanath Khanal, Bamdev Gautam and Narayan Kaji Shrestha have determined the seniority of the remaining leaders alphabetically.
