1,854 Drivers Penalized for Traffic Violations in 24 Hours, Rs. 448,000 Revenue Collected

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, one thousand 854 drivers have been penalized for violating traffic rules. Rs. Four hundred forty-eight thousand revenue has been deposited into the state treasury from this.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 125 were penalized for driving under the influence of alcohol, 166 for illegal 'ride sharing', 179 for violating traffic signals, and 171 for speeding.

Similarly, 27 were penalized for not following 'lane' discipline, 104 for honking in prohibited areas, 66 for parking vehicles on sidewalks, 112 for driving on one-way streets, and one thousand 904 for not following other traffic rules.
