Theft of Property Worth Millions Reported in Kathmandu and Jhapa

Kathmandu. Property worth millions of rupees has been stolen in separate theft incidents in various places in Kathmandu and Jhapa. The police have stated that property worth a total of 4.392 million rupees, including cash, gold-silver jewelry, and laptops, was stolen in these incidents that occurred from Friday afternoon to night.

Property worth 564,000 rupees was stolen from the rooms of three people living in a rented room in Chandragiri Municipality-10, Kathmandu. Cash and gold jewelry were stolen from the rooms of 33-year-old Ganga Bahadur Khadka from Ramechhap, 32-year-old Kalpana Tharu from Banke, and 30-year-old Sarita Thapa from Dhading on Friday afternoon.

Similarly, property worth 350,000 rupees was stolen from the room of 32-year-old Mohammad Abbu Kalam from Rautahat, who lives in a rented room in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-4, on Friday evening. The police have mentioned that laptops and gold jewelry were stolen from Kalam's room.

The biggest theft incident occurred in Jhapa. Property worth approximately 3.478 million rupees was stolen from the house of 65-year-old Baijnath Sah, residing in Purano Bazar, Mechinagar Municipality-10, Jhapa, on Friday night. Information has been received that gold and silver jewelry and cash were stolen from Sah's house.

The police have intensified the search for the absconding individuals involved in all the incidents and are conducting necessary investigations in this regard.
