Young Woman Dies Under Suspicious Circumstances in Bara Hotel

Bara. A 25-year-old woman staying at a hotel in Nijgadh, Bara, has died under suspicious circumstances. Sita Thing, 25, from Nijgadh Municipality-12, who was found injured in a room at Gurung Hotel in Buddhachowk, Nijgadh Municipality-9, died during treatment. According to the Bara District Police Office, Thing was found injured inside the hotel room around 10 PM on the night of Baisakh 25. Upon receiving information about the incident, a police team from the Nijgadh Area Police Office rushed her to the Community Hospital Maternity Home. However, doctors declared her dead immediately upon arrival at the hospital. Police said that Anju Sunar, 18, from Nijgadh Municipality-9, was in the same hotel room with the deceased Thing at the time of the incident. Two other young men who came with them fled the scene immediately after the incident. The absconding individuals were Mahesh Majhi, 35, and Sunil Bomjan, 36, from Tangiya settlement, Ward-16 of Jitpur Simra Sub-Metropolitan City. A team led by the Superintendent of Police from the Bara District Police Office and a team from the Nijgadh Area Police Office launched a search operation, including technical analysis, for the absconding individuals. During the operation, police apprehended Sunil Bomjan near the forest close to Tangiya settlement at 1 AM and Mahesh Majhi from Majhi settlement in Nijgadh-7 at 4 AM. Vijayaraj Pandit, spokesperson for the Bara District Police Office and Deputy Superintendent of Police, informed that further investigation into the incident is underway after taking both apprehended individuals into custody.
