10 Injured in Bus-Tipper Collision in Gauradaha

Jhapa. Ten people were injured when a passenger bus and a stone-tipping tipper collided with each other this morning at Schoolchaur Bazaar in Gauradaha Municipality-5.

According to District Police Office Information Officer Khagendra Bahadur Khadka, the accident occurred when the bus with registration number Me 1 Kha 2499, traveling from Damak towards Chapramari, and the tipper with registration number Pra-Na-2-03-001 Kha 7153, coming from Madhumalla towards Damuna, collided on the inner road section.

Information Officer Khadka informed that among the injured in the accident were bus driver Krishnaprasad Rajbanshi, along with Yogamaya Niroula, Kalpanaprasad Uraun, Sharadadevi Poudel, Salina Khatri and her six-year-old daughter Sanrachana Khatri, Saroj Ram, Kalpana Sikdel, Srijana Parajuli, and Kismat Khadka.

It is reported that Yogamaya, among the injured, is in serious condition and has been sent to Nims Hospital in Damak for further treatment, while others are being treated at Nagar Hospital Gauradaha. According to the police, two of the injured are in moderate condition and the rest are in stable condition.

Police Post Maharani Jhhoda has taken the tipper driver and both vehicles under control. Police stated that further investigation into the incident is underway.
