Motorcycle Accident in Sunsari Claims One Life

Sunsari. One person has died in a motorcycle accident near Tinkune Milijuli School in Barahakshetra Municipality-5, Sunsari, this morning.

According to Chandra Khadka, Information Officer at the District Police Office, Sunsari, the accident occurred around 4:30 AM when motorcycle number Province 1-01-018 P 7892 collided with a cement culvert on the Kalabanjar-Dharan road section. After the accident, the motorcycle fell into a drain about 34 feet below.

Information Officer Khadka stated that the motorcycle rider, 30-year-old Manis Basnet from Bargaachi, Dharan Sub-metropolis-8, died in the accident. According to the police, the deceased Basnet was found face down in the drain with a deep injury on his right cheek. Locals informed the Bhauraul Police Post after hearing a loud noise.

The District Police Office, Sunsari, stated that the body has been sent to BP Koirala Health Sciences Institute for post-mortem examination after preliminary investigation.
