Company Registrar Office Allows Local Levels to Register Companies and Invest in Shares

Kathmandu. The Office of the Company Registrar has opened the way for local levels to register companies and acquire ownership by purchasing shares. Issuing a public notice, the office stated that this decision has been made in the context of requests received from various local levels for establishing companies and investing in shares in sectors including solar energy.

According to the decision of the Office of the Company Registrar, local levels can now register companies and acquire company ownership by purchasing shares after fulfilling certain conditions as per the prevailing laws.

The notice mentions that local levels must comply with the following conditions before registering a company or purchasing shares:

1. Local levels must make decisions by enacting their own laws in this regard.

2. Procedures must be completed in accordance with the Company Act, 2063, and other relevant prevailing laws.
