Supreme Court Receives Writ Against Judicial Appointment

Kathmandu. A writ has been submitted to the Supreme Court stating that the Constitutional Council has recommended Justice Manoj Kumar Sharma, who is in fourth priority, as the Chief Justice.

Senior Advocate Dinesh Tripathi has submitted the writ arguing that the recommendation of the Chief Justice by violating the priority is against the basic concept of the constitution at first sight and that it will seriously interfere with judicial independence.

Senior Advocate Tripathi informed Ratopati that a writ has been submitted seeking a mandamus to bring the judiciary under the control of the executive and to cancel it and recommend the first priority.
