1,806 Drivers Penalized for Traffic Violations in 24 Hours, Rs 1.87 Million Collected

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, one thousand 806 drivers have been penalized for violating traffic rules. A revenue of Rs 1,876,504 has been deposited into the state treasury from this.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, action has been taken against 77 for driving under the influence of alcohol, 162 for illegal 'ride sharing', 106 for violating traffic signals, and 88 for speeding.

Similarly, action has been taken against 84 for not following 'lane' discipline, 39 for honking in prohibited areas, 77 for parking vehicles on the sidewalk, 111 for driving on one-way streets, and one thousand 62 for not following other traffic rules.
