Madan Bhandari College to be developed as model college: CM Poudel

Kathmandu –Chief Minister of Province-3, Dormani Poudel, has said that the country would be developed within five years so as people can feel the changes.
Chief Minister Poudel said so at a programme organised by Madan Bhandari Memorial College to mark its 17th anniversary here today.
Stressing the need of developing the country with a new motion, he said, ''All should adopt the spirit of the campaign "Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali."
The Chief Minister underscored the need of developing the College, established in the name of leader late leader Madan Bhandari, as a model college, adding that the college should be a different and one of the best colleges in the country.
Similarly, lawmaker Krishna Rai stressed on promoting and extending the ideology of people's leader Bhandari in and across the country.
Assistant Campus Chief, Niruja Phunyal, said that preparation was underway to upgrade the college into a university.
The College has also been providing scholarship to poor, helpless and intelligent students, added Phunyal.
On the occasion, Chief Minister Poudel presented 'Madan Bhandari National Journalism Award-2075 BS' to journalist Bhawanishwar Gautam.
The award carries a purse of Rs 25,000.
