Gandaki Province Allocates Budget for 24 Tourism Infrastructure Projects in Myagdi District

Myagdi. Under the Gandaki Province government, plans have been launched this fiscal year for infrastructure construction at 24 tourist destinations in Myagdi. The Province government has allocated a budget of Rs. 14 million for these projects being operated through the Integrated Service Office located in Beni, according to Subba Subas Subedi of the office. Three projects have already been completed.

The remaining projects are in the stages of survey, design (mapping), cost estimation preparation, agreement, and implementation. The construction of the Dhada Phedera Arota and Pakhather routes in Benpa-9, and the Galeshwar-Bagaicha trekking route in Raghuganga Rural Municipality-3, which were allocated a budget of Rs. five lakh each, has been completed.

For the Prabhuchela Dhyanashram in Malika Rural Municipality-7, and the Bim-Dadagaun trekking route, Rs. 10 lakh each has been allocated. For the Lamkhoriya-Dadagaun route in Malika-3 and the Gaukhori-Matouka route in Malika-4, Rs. six lakh each has been allocated. The Narcheyang Waterfall tourism infrastructure construction project in Annapurna Rural Municipality-4, which received a budget of Rs. five lakh, has also been completed.

The Chimkhola to Kali Barah trekking route, allocated a budget of Rs. 10 lakh, and the Khiwang-Chechung trekking route in Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality-4, allocated a budget of Rs. eight lakh, are currently under construction, stated Shamsher Gharti Chhetri, Chief of the Integrated Service Office, Myagdi. The Barahpakho trekking route, Lovlidaada fencing, and Sanatan Religious Ashram fencing and park construction projects in Beni Municipality, each with a budget of Rs. five lakh, are in the implementation phase.

The Gampadhuri-Dapu-Chhahara infrastructure project in Mangala Rural Municipality-4, the Bim Lower Village Manthan to Prabhuchela trekking route in Malika, and the Malika Dhuri modern infrastructure project are in the implementation phase. Agreements have been signed with the consumer committees for the Fuldaada trekking route, the Mulapani to Bhagwati Health Post Jaisikhor route, the Khai Dhaulagiri Icefall trekking route DPR, and the Gayatri Mandir park construction plan in Raghuganga Rural Municipality.

The Tikot-Soband trekking route, Marca trekking route, the Chitre via Ghandruk Deurali trekking route, and the Phagam-Suwa-Duwari-Matichaur tourism trekking route projects in Annapurna Rural Municipality are under construction. The Integrated Service Office reported that agreements have been finalized for 16 tourism-related plans so far.
