US and Israel Allegedly Target Iranian Energy Facilities Amid West Asia Conflict

Tehran. Amid the ongoing war in West Asia, the United States and Israel have reportedly begun targeting Iran's energy centers. According to Iranian state media, the US and Israel carried out airstrikes on the South Pars gas field and the oil and gas facilities in the city of Assaluyeh in southern Iran.

South Pars is considered the world's largest natural gas field. According to reports, this attack targeted petrochemical and oil infrastructure along with gas. Israeli media also reported an attack on a gas facility center in the Bushehr region.

Previously, the Israeli Defense Minister had stated that a big surprise would be seen in Iran and Lebanon today, which is being linked to these attacks.

In response, Iran has warned of major attacks on Gulf nations. Iran's Revolutionary Guard has urged people to stay away from major oil and gas centers in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar.

Qatar, meanwhile, has condemned the attack on Iran's gas field.
