Election Commission to Distribute Certificates to Proportional Representation MPs on Thursday

Kathmandu. The Election Commission is set to distribute certificates to the members elected to the House of Representatives under the proportional representation system on Thursday morning. Commission Spokesperson Joint Secretary Narayan Prasad Bhattarai informed that the certificates for the MPs elected through the proportional representation system will be distributed at the Commission at 11 AM on Thursday.

'A program has been set to distribute certificates to the MPs elected through the proportional representation system tomorrow at 11 AM,' Spokesperson Bhattarai told Ratopati.

One hundred and ten members are elected to the House of Representatives from the proportional representation category. Based on the votes received by political parties, the Commission has finalized allocating 57 seats to Rastriya Swatantra Party, 20 to Nepali Congress, 16 to CPN-UML, 9 to the Communist Party of Nepal, and 4 seats each to Shram Sanskriti Party and Rastriya Prajatantra Party.

Commission Spokesperson Bhattarai informed that after distributing the certificates in the morning, the report concerning the House of Representatives election will be submitted to President Ramchandra Paudel in the afternoon on Thursday. The time set for submitting the report on the House of Representatives election to the President at the President's Office, Shital Niwas, is 4 PM on Thursday.

The Commission stated that after submitting the report to President Paudel, it will hold a press conference at 5:30 PM to provide complete information regarding the election. The House of Representatives election across the country was completed on Falgun 21 last. The Commission has already published the election results.
