At Least Seven Dead in House Fire in India's Madhya Pradesh

Police in India have confirmed that at least seven people died in a house fire in Madhya Pradesh state on Wednesday. Police stated that a couple is in critical condition among those injured in the fire incident.

The accident occurred around 4 a.m. local time in the city of Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Firefighters reported recovering seven bodies from the scene after bringing the fire under control, and the injured have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

According to the police, the fire was caused by a short circuit in an electric car charger. It is reported that the fire spread rapidly inside the house after an explosion ignited nearby stored petroleum cylinders.
