Four Teams Confirmed for Semifinals of SPA Kailali Pride League in Dhangadhi

Dhangadhi. The four teams heading to the semifinals of the fourth edition of the provincial-level 'SPA Kailali Pride League' being held at the Phapla Cricket Ground in Dhangadhi have been finalized.

Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City became the fourth team to enter the final four after defeating Aital Rural Municipality by 7 wickets in a decisive match held on Tuesday.

Earlier, Budhiganga Municipality of Bajura, Ghodaghodi Municipality of Kailali, and Kanchanpur's Punarbas Municipality 'B' had already secured their spots in the semifinals.

In the match held on Tuesday, Aital Rural Municipality, which won the toss and chose to bat first, was all out for just 82 runs in 19.4 overs. Samir Bist scored a top 24 runs for Aital, while captain Dil Bohara scored 14 and Raju Rijal scored 12 runs. Shattering Aital's innings, Sunny Bik of Dhangadhi delivered a lethal spell, conceding only 7 runs for 3 wickets in 4 overs. Prakash Jung Karki and Bishal Chhetri also took 2 wickets each.

Chasing a modest target of 83 runs, Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City achieved the target in 12 overs, losing only 3 wickets. Rohan BK scored 22 runs for Dhangadhi's victory, while Sunny Bik also shone with the bat, playing an explosive unbeaten knock of 19 runs, including 2 sixes off 8 balls. Shankar Bohara remained unbeaten on 13 runs. Nirajan Air, Dil Bohara, and Samir Bist of Aital took 1 wicket each but could not save the team from defeat.

In the matches held on Monday, Punarbas 'B' reached the semifinals after defeating Tikapur Municipality. Tikapur was bundled out for 54 runs while chasing the target of 167 runs set by Punarbas.

In another match held on Monday, although Aital kept its semifinal hopes alive by defeating Bardagoriya, Aital was eliminated from the tournament after being defeated by Dhangadhi today.

Ghodaghodi and Budhiganga had already reached the semifinals before that. The winner of this tournament, organized by the District Cricket Association Kailali, will receive a cash prize of 3 lakh rupees, and the runner-up will receive 1 lakh rupees. The tournament will run until Chaitra 5.

A total of 12 teams participated in the tournament.
