Handwritten Note Surfaces on Social Media After Reports of Iranian Official's Death in Israeli Strike

A handwritten note has been made public from the social media account of senior Iranian security official Ali Larijani. Israel had claimed he was killed in an airstrike, but the Iranian side has not yet officially confirmed this. The note published on Larijani's 'X' account has also been shared by Iranian state media. The message is reportedly written in memory of the Iranian naval personnel killed in a recent US attack.

The funeral ceremony for these soldiers is expected to be held on Tuesday. The note reads, 'On the occasion of the funeral of the brave members of the Islamic Republic of Iran Navy - their memory will forever remain in the hearts of the Iranian people, and these martyrdoms will further strengthen the Islamic Republic's military in the coming years.' In the note, Larijani prayed to God to grant the martyrs a high place.

Meanwhile, Israeli media claimed that Larijani was targeted in an attack on a hidden apartment along with his son. Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant claimed Larijani was killed and stated that he and the Prime Minister had directed the continuation of military action against the Iranian leadership. He also mentioned that the Israeli army was ordered to continue search-and-destroy operations against the Iranian leadership.

Larijani was last seen last Friday at the annual Al-Quds Day rally held in Tehran. On that occasion, he was seen marching on the capital's streets alongside other senior Iranian officials.

At the same event, he made harsh remarks against Israel and its allies, stating that the recent attacks were a sign of desperation and fear.
