Missile Debris Kills One in Abu Dhabi, Following Recent Drone Attacks

Abu Dhabi. One person has died after being struck by fragments of a missile that fell in Abu Dhabi. Local authorities stated that a Pakistani national lost his life after being hit by debris from a missile that crashed in the Baniyas area of the United Arab Emirates' capital.

The UAE has faced continuous security challenges since Tuesday. According to reports, drone attacks caused fires at the massive Shah gas field outside Abu Dhabi and in the oil industry area of Fujairah.

Previously, UAE state media had indicated that the country's air defense system was confronting missile and drone threats. Meanwhile, the UAE's General Civil Aviation Authority temporarily closed a portion of the country's airspace, citing rapidly changing regional security conditions.

One day before this incident, another death occurred in Abu Dhabi. Officials reported that a Palestinian national was killed when a missile struck a civilian vehicle in the Al Bahiya area.
